July's Giveaway

As some of you may have noticed, I put this month's giveaway up to your vote. It was between three highly anticipated new releases: Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols, Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness, and Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard.

It was interesting to see how the voting went ~ to see which book my fellow bookies craved the most.

And you picked ~

Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard

The year is 1876, and there’s something strange and deadly loose in Philadelphia…

Eleanor Fitt has a lot to worry about. Her brother has gone missing, her family has fallen on hard times, and her mother is determined to marry her off to any rich young man who walks by. But this is nothing compared to what she’s just read in the newspaper—

The Dead are rising in Philadelphia.

And then, in a frightening attack, a zombie delivers a letter to Eleanor…from her brother.

Whoever is controlling the Dead army has taken her brother as well. If Eleanor is going to find him, she’ll have to venture into the lab of the notorious Spirit-Hunters, who protect the city from supernatural forces. But as Eleanor spends more time with the Spirit-Hunters, including their maddeningly stubborn yet handsome inventor, Daniel, the situation becomes dire. And now, not only is her reputation on the line, but her very life may hang in the balance.

Zombies in the 1800s? Who wouldn't want to read about that? Honestly, I'm super excited this was the one with the most votes, because it's the one I woulda picked it just sounds completely amazing :)

(This is my FIRST international giveaway :) We'll see how it goes!! So enter away my friends!)

Happy Reading Everyone :)

  1. A strange question! I don't know, maybe i would just collect all the people i love in a cabin and live there. But that doesn't work so I have to fight, i am not very good at that but i will learn. Although i don't know how zombies can be killed :P
